On the 19^th June started the 3-day visit of President of China, Xi Jinping, in Poland. It is now considered as a breakthrough in economic relations between China and Poland.

The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, stated in the opening ceremony of the “New Silk Road Forum 2016” that for China Poland is a gate to Europe. „New air, road and sea connections between Poland and China will strengthen Polish export to China”.

The President of China, Xi Jinping indicated that "China and Poland are on the Eastern and Western ends of the new Eurasian bridge”.

It is forecasted that the New Silk Road will be related to the New Amber Route in the future. This will lead to further increase of the value and significance of Baltic amber.
